What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis, also known as ABA Therapy, is a behavioral treatment for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioral disorders, or other developmental disorders. ABA Therapy teaches a variety of skills including, but not limited to, communication, academic, functional, community interaction, and social skills.  Overall, ABA helps to increase socially appropriate behaviors while decreasing challenging, unwanted behaviors. 

ABA Therapy though BEC is performed in the home (natural environment) of the client or within the child’s school or educational placement.
